Sopanam Ayurveda Hospital

Down in Nadavarambu, Irinjalakuda, you will find our Ayurveda hospital. It is a quiet place compared to the big city hospitals. We have been here for years, and the building smells like the oils and herbs we use for the treatments. Most of the people who come here are looking for traditional ways to feel better, like massages or specific diets. We have several treatment rooms where the therapists work throughout the day. The garden out back has some of the plants we use, though we buy a lot of the herbs from local suppliers. In the mornings, you can hear the birds in the trees around the property before the town gets too busy. We aren't a luxury spa or anything like that, just a regular hospital that follows the old ways. Many of our patients are locals who have known our family for generations. We spend a lot of time preparing the oils and the medicines in the back kitchen area. It’s a slow process, but that is how it has always been done. The staff is mostly local people from Irinjalakuda who know their way around the herbs. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just our hands and the traditional knowledge. People come here to rest and heal in a simple environment. It’s a peaceful spot to work, even when we have a full house of patients staying with us for their long-term treatments.
