Saroja Medical Foundation

We are located at 36/5336 on Shornur Road in Thrissur. Our place is called Saroja, and it serves as a nursing home for people in the area. It is a solid building that has been here for a good while. Living and working in Thrissur means dealing with the heat and the humidity, so we have a lot of fans going all the time. Our nursing home is more of a quiet spot compared to the big city hospitals. We have rooms for patients who need to stay for a few days or weeks to recover. We don't have any shiny posters or corporate talk. We just have beds, medicine, and people who know how to help. The kitchen here is always busy because we have to make meals for everyone staying with us. Usually, it smells like rice and sambar around noon. Shornur Road is a main path, so it is easy for families to visit. We don't use a lot of technology, mostly just paper charts and a lot of talking to each other to make sure everyone is okay. Sometimes the plumbing gives us trouble because the building isn't new, but we get it fixed. It is a very human place. We see people at their worst and hopefully at their best when they finally get to go home. We just keep doing the work.
