Sahya Digital Conservation Foundation

We set up shop here at Parambath House not too long ago. It’s right near the Ramanchira Temple in Amalanagar. Mostly we deal with digital stuff related to conservation. It’s a quiet spot. People around here know us as the Sahya Digital Conservation Foundation. We don't have a big fancy office, just a workspace where we try to get things done. Mostly we're looking at ways to use technology to keep track of things in nature that might get lost otherwise. It's a lot of data entry and looking at maps. Some of us grew up right here in this part of town. We spend our days sitting at computers, which is a bit different from the farm work many neighbors do. It gets hot in the afternoons, but the temple nearby keeps the area feeling peaceful. We aren't trying to change the world overnight. It’s just us doing what we can with what we have. If you’re walking toward the temple, you might see our sign. It’s nothing special, just a place for our team to meet up and work on these digital projects. We started this because we noticed a lot of local history and environmental info wasn't being saved properly. So now we're here. We don't have big meetings or dress in suits. It’s just casual and we focus on the work. Sometimes the internet is slow, but we manage. That's just part of life here. We hope the digital work helps in the long run.
