Rios Foods Trading

Rios Foods Trading is based out of Kodungallur, over in the Po. Kara area. We are situated right near the Panchayat Kollam, which is a fairly quiet spot. We handle food trading, mostly focusing on the local items that people use in their kitchens every day. The building we work out of is a simple one-story place. We have a small dirt yard in the front where we keep our delivery van parked. The humidity in this part of the country can be pretty tough, especially when you are trying to store food products, so we have to be very careful about how we stack and manage the inventory. We don't have any fancy climate control systems, just some basic vents and a few strong fans. My wife helps me with all the bookkeeping in the evenings after she is done with her other chores. It is a real family effort to keep things running. We know most of the local farmers and the people who work at the Panchayat. Sometimes they just stop by to have a chat about the weather or whatever else is happening in town. We don't have a big marketing budget or a team of salespeople. We just talk to our neighbors and customers. If the quality of what we sell is good, people always come back. That is the only way we know how to do business. We just want to stay part of this community.
