Quality Control Chemist

I’m working as a chemist from my house, which is called Velliyottil House. It’s located in Kunnathara, in the Kallepadam area of Pazhayannur. Thrissur is a beautiful place to live and work, though it can get very rainy during the monsoon season. My work involves a lot of testing and looking at chemicals to make sure they are safe and correct. I have a small lab setup at home where I spend most of my hours. It’s a lot of quiet work, just me and my samples. I studied hard to learn how to do this properly, and now I just apply that knowledge every day. It’s not a very exciting job to most people, but I find it interesting to see how different substances react. The house is usually quiet, which helps me focus on the tiny details. Sometimes I have to travel to different sites to collect samples, but I always come back here to do the actual testing. It’s a very local way of working. I know most of the people in the village and they know what I do. I don’t have a big company name or a lot of employees. It’s just a one-person operation run out of a family home in a small corner of Kerala. It’s peaceful and it suits me well. I enjoy the rhythm of the work and the quietness of our small village life.
