At Orbs Agro Exports Private Limited, our main office is in Chavakkad. We are located in an area called Karikkayil, near Muthuvattoor. If you know this part of Thrissur, you know it is a lively place to be. We are in the 680506 pin code zone. Since we deal with agro exports, our daily schedule is usually tied to what is happening with the crops and the shipping dates. It involves a lot of coordination and checking on things. The building we work out of is a solid, basic structure. It is not one of those glass-fronted corporate offices. Inside, it usually smells like tea and paper. We have been here in Thrissur for a long time and we like being part of the local community. When the heavy rains hit the roof, it gets so loud we have to raise our voices to be heard, but that is just part of living here. We handle a lot of logistics from our desks in Karikkayil. We don't have anyone to write fancy slogans for us, so we just focus on getting the work done right. The office stays busy until late in the evening most days of the week. We often have the local radio playing in the background while we go through the export documents. It is a simple way of working, but it suits us just fine here at Orbs.
