Ojis Exim Private Limited

Ojis Exim Private Limited is based out of Thrissur, in the Mattathur area. We have our office set up at the Alappatt house. It is a typical Kerala neighborhood where everyone knows each other. We decided to get into the export-import business because there is so much moving through this part of the state. Thrissur is central, so it makes sense for us to be here. We do not have a massive warehouse or anything, just a focused workspace where we handle the export documentation and coordinate with various vendors. Dealing with international trade from a village like Mattathur has its challenges, but the internet makes it possible. We spend most of our mornings checking emails and the rest of the day on the phone with transport agents. It is a lot of manual tracking of containers and checking the weight of goods. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but we get the work done. Our team is small, mostly just a few locals who understand how the trade works here. We do not go for flashy ads or anything. We just focus on the actual shipments. It is hard work and requires a lot of patience with the customs requirements. We just take it one day at a time, making sure each box is packed right and the labels are correct before they leave Thrissur for the port.
