Nisarga Organic

We are located right opposite the Ramdev Temple in Punkunnam. It’s a nice area, quite peaceful most of the time except when there’s a big festival at the temple. Then the whole street gets packed and we get very busy. Nisarga Organic is basically a small labor of love for us. We spend a lot of time sorting through grains and oils. My wife and I started this because we couldn't find good organic things nearby for our kids to eat. Now, it’s a full-time job that keeps us on our feet. The shop isn't very large, but we pack a lot into the small space we have. We have those old wooden shelves that we painted ourselves when we first opened. Sometimes the door sticks a bit when it rains, so you just have to give it a good push to get inside. We know most of the people who come in by their first names. It’s that kind of place. We get our supplies from a few different places, mostly people we’ve known for years. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that behind us. It’s just us and one helper who comes in during the mornings. We spend a lot of time cleaning and making sure everything stays fresh. Punkunnam is a great community to be part of. People here really care about what they put on their table. If you see the temple, you’ve found us.
