Mohamed Almojil Group (Saudi Arabia)

If you go to Santhipuram in Kodungalur, you will find our office in Anakath House. It is a quiet place in the Thrissur district of Kerala. The vibe here is very different from the big cities. We have a lot of greenery around us and the air is much fresher, though it rains a lot and things can get pretty damp. This office is the local link for the Mohamed Almojil Group from Saudi Arabia. A lot of people from this part of Kerala go to work in the Gulf, so we see many of them coming through our doors. They bring their documents and their hopes for finding work abroad. We spend the day checking papers and talking to people who are looking for a better future. It is a simple setup with a few computers and some filing cabinets. We don't have fancy furniture or a big reception desk. Sometimes the power goes out because of the heavy monsoon winds, and we just have to wait it out. It is a small team here, and we all know each other well. We don't use any corporate talk or try to sell anything. We just facilitate the connection between the workers here and the projects over in Saudi. It is a practical job that keeps us busy from morning until evening. It feels like we are doing something useful for the community by being here and helping out with the paperwork.
