Living Symphony Builders Private Limited runs out of Chettakkal House in Meloor. It’s a bit different from your typical corporate office because it’s a house, but it works fine for us. Being in the Meloor area of Chalakudy means we are surrounded by a lot of greenery and local life. We do a lot of building work around here, mostly residential stuff for people in the local community. The pace of life in Chalakudy is a bit slower than the big cities, but the work of a builder is still quite demanding. We spend a lot of time visiting sites, talking to masons, and making sure the materials are being used correctly and not wasted. Sometimes the monsoon hits hard and we have to pause everything, which can be frustrating when you have a deadline to meet. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s just us, working from the house and keeping track of our projects the best we can. We know the local landscape and the challenges of building on some of these slopes and specific soil types found in Kerala. It takes a lot of manual labor and constant supervision to get things right. There’s a lot of pride in seeing a house go from just a foundation to a finished building. It’s not always easy, and there are plenty of long days, but it’s what we do.
