We've been at the Nanu Ezhuthassan Memorial Building for quite a while now. Most people around here just call it the memorial building anyway. It’s right in the middle of the post and district area, so things stay pretty busy throughout the day. If you’re coming by Lakshmi Agencies, you’ll probably see us sorting through stuff or just chatting with folks who stop by. It isn't a fancy place with glass doors or anything like that. The walls could probably use some fresh paint, but it feels like home to us. Usually, we start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. By noon, the street outside is full of people heading to the post office or running errands. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. If you get lost looking for us, just ask anyone where the memorial building is and they'll point you right here. It’s a sturdy old place. We’ve grown used to the creaks in the floorboards and the way the light hits the desks in the afternoon. It’s not about being the biggest office around. We just like being here in the heart of the district where all the action is. It's practical. We have everything we need right here and that's enough for us.
