Spandex Surgicals

Spandex Surgicals is tucked away in the Padamattummal Kundaliyur area. We handle a lot of the supplies that hospitals and local clinics need to keep running every day. It’s not a glamorous business, mostly boxes and inventory lists, but it’s important work. We spend a lot of our time checking orders and making sure everything is packed up correctly before it goes out. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we can store what we need. Sometimes the humidity in Kundaliyur makes things a bit sticky, so we’re always moving fans around. People come to us when they need specific things like bandages, gloves, or more specialized tools for surgeries. We try to keep the shelves stocked, but sometimes things run out and we have to wait for the next delivery to arrive. It’s a small team here. We all know each other well and we just get on with the tasks at hand. There’s usually some tea going in the back room during breaks. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. Word usually gets around through the doctors and nurses we work with. It’s a quiet kind of place, except when the delivery trucks are pulling in or out. We’ve been at this for a while now and we know the local layout pretty well by now. It is just a regular job that we try to do right every single morning.
