Gateto Medicine

Gateto Medicine is our little spot over in Syranthri Kanimangalam. We deal with medicine and healthcare stuff every day, and it's mostly just about getting people what they need when they aren't feeling well. The shop is located in a quiet part of the neighborhood, so it is usually a bit peaceful until the morning rush starts. We have shelves full of different things and we spend a lot of time checking dates and making sure everything is organized. It’s not a giant warehouse, just a local place where you can find the basics and maybe some specific things you can't get elsewhere. We started this because we saw people had to travel too far for simple supplies. Now, we are just part of the daily routine here. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late and we have to scramble to get things on the shelves, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We don't have a lot of staff, usually just one or two of us behind the counter. We try to remember the faces of the regulars who come in. It makes the day go by faster when you can chat with someone you know while you're working. Kanimangalam is a nice area and being here feels right for us. We aren't trying to change the world, just keeping the stock full and being here when the doors open. It's practical work and it keeps us on our feet all day long.
