Kandanassery Nidhi Limited

We are over at Karisma Palacemattom on the first floor. If you know Thrissur, you probably know where the post office is around here. It’s not a huge place, just a few rooms where we sit and handle the paperwork for the Nidhi. Most days start with us opening the shutters and maybe getting some tea from the shop downstairs. People from the neighborhood drop by mostly to talk about their savings or just to say hello. It can get a bit loud when the traffic picks up outside, but we are used to it by now. The office is at 680602, and honestly, we’ve been here for a bit. We don't have fancy leather chairs or anything like that. Just wooden desks and some files stacked up in the corner. Sometimes the fan makes a bit of noise, but it works fine enough. Managing a Nidhi means knowing everyone’s name, which is how things go in Kerala. We don’t really do big advertisements. Most people find us because they live right down the road. It’s a simple setup. If you are walking past the first floor, you'll see our sign. It’s pretty quiet in the afternoons when the sun is hitting the building hard. We just keep things moving, one day at a time, making sure the ledgers are right. It’s practical work. Nothing more to it than that, really. We just stay here and do the job.
