Indigenous Herd Conservation Foundation

Indigenous Herd Conservation Foundation is located at 347/Ponganamoola House in Krishnan Master Nagar. We are over in Eravimangalam, zip code 680751. Our work is pretty specific, focusing on the local herds and making sure things are done right for them. It’s not something that everyone is into, but it’s important to us. The foundation runs out of a house, which makes sense because we are always dealing with animals and land anyway. We aren't sitting in a skyscraper in a city. We are right here where the animals are. Our days are mostly spent outside or talking to the farmers around here. We have a lot of old books and records about the different breeds in the area. It’s a bit of a mess in the office sometimes, with muddy boots by the door and papers everywhere. We don't mind it though. It’s real work. We don't have a big PR team telling people what we do. If you care about the herds, you eventually find your way to us. It’s a slow process, working with nature, but we aren't in a rush. We just want to make sure these traditions and animals don't disappear. It’s been a long road, but we’re happy to be doing it from our base here in Eravimangalam. It’s just us and the work we care about, trying to get things right.
