Our place is Highness Spices And Condiments, situated right on N.H.-17 in Thrissur District. We’re in the Thruvathra area, which is a good spot for being accessible to the transporters. The air around here usually smells like pepper or cardamom depending on what we are working on that day. It's a family-run kind of thing, really. We handle spices and condiments, which means a lot of sorting, drying, and packing. It’s not an easy job, and your hands end up smelling like turmeric for days on end. We have been here for a while, and the locals know where to find us. Being near the highway helps with getting things shipped out, though the noise from the trucks can be a bit much sometimes. We don't have a big marketing department or a fancy website. It's just us in the warehouse making sure the batches are right. Sometimes the weather in Thrissur makes things tricky, especially during the monsoon when it gets so damp and humid. We have to be extra careful with the storage then. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to provide what people need. The name Highness sounds a bit grand, but we are just regular folks working with our hands. It’s honest work, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the seasons and the spice harvests. That’s pretty much our whole story, nothing more to it than that.
