Hi-Tech Packaging

Our unit is at Plot No 41 in the Kinfra Small Industries Park in Koratty. Being out here in Thrissur is nice because it’s a bit more organized than the crowded city centers. We make packaging materials like boxes and wraps. The building is a simple shed with a high ceiling to keep things a bit cooler during the Kerala summers. We have a small crew from the local villages who help run the cutters and the folders. It’s a lot of repetitive work, measuring and checking the edges. We don't have a big reception desk or a showroom. If you come to visit, you’ll probably find us on the shop floor with a tape measure. The humidity here can be a real pain for the cardboard, so we have to watch how we store things. We don't go out looking for big awards or anything. We just fulfill the orders that come in from the local businesses around here. Lunch is usually a simple meal we bring from home and eat in the shade. The park is quiet compared to the main roads, which is good for focusing. We aren't a high-tech lab despite the name; we just use standard machines to get the packaging right. Sometimes things go wrong and we have to redo a batch, but that’s just life in a factory. We just keep at it every day and try to make sure the boxes are sturdy.
