Golden Tea Manufactures & Exporters

Down here in Kodungallur, we run Golden Tea Manufactures & Exporters from Mten, No.10/29 in the P.O. Eriyad area. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but we like the space we have here. Being manufacturers and exporters means our daily life is mostly about logistics. We have big bags of tea coming in from the estates and then we have to figure out where they are all going. The paperwork for the export side is quite a lot, and my desk is always buried under forms and shipping manifests. It gets very hot and humid in this part of the country, which makes the work tiring. We have to be really careful about how we store the tea so it doesn't lose its character. The building is a bit old and has some cracks in the floor, but it serves its purpose. We don't have a receptionist to greet people; you just walk in and find us working. Usually, there is a truck outside being loaded up. We have a small crew and we all know what needs to be done. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a tie. We’re usually in old shirts and sturdy shoes. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and wait for the generator to kick in. It’s just how things go around here. We don't try to make it sound like something it isn't; it's just a warehouse and an office.
