Gem Hospital

Gem Hospital sits right on Bennet Road here in Thrissur. It is a place that stays busy pretty much all the time. People are always coming through the doors, whether it is early in the morning or late at night. Bennet Road has its own energy, and we are right in the thick of it. The building has been here for a while, and it shows a little bit of wear in places, but it’s sturdy. We spend our days walking the halls and checking on things. There is a lot of paperwork to keep track of, and the phones seem to ring more often than not. We don't have a fancy lobby with marble floors or anything like that. It’s just a place where work gets done. You see a lot of different things happening in a day at a hospital. Sometimes it’s quiet for an hour, then suddenly everyone arrives at once. We just try to keep up with it. The staff knows the local area well, and we often recognize the families who live nearby. It feels very much like a part of the Thrissur community. We don't put on any acts; we are just here to do our jobs on Bennet Road. There is always a pot of tea or coffee somewhere in the back for when someone gets a break. It’s just how we operate.
