Fresh Drinks

Down in Kanjikodu, we have our small setup for Fresh Drinks. It’s a busy area with a lot of trucks and factories, so there’s always noise outside our door. We started this because there wasn't much else to do around here and we knew how to handle the drinks side of things. It’s not a big operation. We have a couple of rooms where we keep everything and a small area for the actual work. Most days it’s just us making sure the bottles are clean and the liquid is right. We don't spend money on big ads or anything. Most people around here just know us by word of mouth. Sometimes the rain gets really heavy and we have to make sure the stock stays dry. We’ve had a few leaks in the roof over the years but we patch them up when we can. It’s just how things go. We try to get everything finished by evening so we can get home to our families. It gets quite humid in the afternoon, making the work feel a bit slower than we’d like. We don't mind though. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy. We just keep our heads down and do the job as best as we can without making a fuss. The neighbors are nice and we help each other out when someone’s truck gets stuck or if we need an extra hand with a heavy load. It's a simple life out here.
