Our place is located at Round South, right near the Vadakkunnathan Temple. It is a very old part of the city, and you can feel that history when you walk around. The temple brings a lot of people to this area, so we see many different faces every day. We are not a big company with a lot of branches, just this spot here. The building has high ceilings and it stays relatively cool even when the sun is beating down on the street. We keep our equipment in the back and have a simple counter up front. There is no music playing, just the sound of the ceiling fans and the people talking outside. We go through a lot of napkins and spoons. It is a simple routine that we have followed for years. We don't try to be anything we are not. We just open the shutters in the morning and get to work. The street can get very crowded during temple festivals, and those are our longest days. We just stay focused on the tasks. It is a good location, even if parking is a nightmare for everyone. We are just part of the local landscape here at the south end of the round. We have been here long enough that the regulars don't even need to say their order anymore.
