At Cubevo International Trading Private Limited, we work out of Vaisyamveetil House. It’s located on Ariyampadam Road in the Thambankadavu area of Thrissur. The post office is nearby at Thambankadavu, which is handy for all the documents we have to send out. The house is a typical one for this part of Kerala, and we’ve converted part of it into our workspace. Trading is a lot of waiting and then suddenly being very busy all at once. We handle all sorts of international goods, which means we’re often checking time zones and trying to reach people halfway across the world. It’s a bit strange doing that from a quiet road in Thalikulam, but it works for us. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who know the trade. Sometimes the rain gets so loud on the roof that we can’t hear ourselves talk on the phone, but that’s just life here. We started this because we wanted to see if we could build something on our own. It’s had its ups and downs, like any small business. We don't use any fancy talk to describe what we do. We just buy things, sell things, and make sure the transport is arranged. It’s straightforward, even if the logistics get messy sometimes. Most days you’ll just find us sitting at the big wooden table with our laptops and a few cups of tea. It is a slow but steady process.
