Chammanams Dental Clinic

Anchery is where we’ve been for quite a while now. Chammanams Dental Clinic is tucked away here, and most people find us just by asking around the neighborhood. It’s not a big glass building or anything like that. We have a small waiting area with some magazines that are probably a bit out of date, but nobody seems to mind much. The floor is that old speckled tile that’s easy to mop down at the end of the day. Working on teeth is what we do, but mostly we spend our time talking to the neighbors who stop in. It gets pretty humid here in Anchery, so the fan is always humming in the corner. Sometimes it rattles a bit, but it keeps the air moving. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the equipment and keep things running. If the phone rings and we don't pick up right away, it’s usually because we’re busy with a patient or the cord got tangled again. People know to just leave a message or come by later. We like the pace of things here. It’s steady and doesn't feel like the rush of the city. We’ve had the same sign out front for years, and even though the paint is peeling a little on the edges, it still does the job of letting people know we’re open for business. We try to keep the windows open when the breeze is right.
