Ashtavaidyan Thaikkattu Mooss Vaidyaratnam Oushadhasala is located in P.O. Thaikkattussery, over in Ollur. It is a place that feels very connected to the ground. We don't have big glass windows or fancy lobby areas. Instead, we have thick walls and tiled roofs that keep the place relatively cool even in summer. Inside, you can always smell the herbs being processed. It’s a deep, earthy scent that sticks to your clothes. Most of the staff here have been around for years, so we all know the routine without having to say much. We spend the day moving between the storage areas and the places where the preparations are made. There is a lot of manual labor involved, like grinding and mixing things by hand. The courtyard gets quite a bit of sun in the afternoon, and that’s where we sometimes sit for a break. It’s a quiet life here in Thaikkattussery, far away from the noise of the big cities. We don't use any fancy marketing talk because we don't really need to. People know where we are and what we do. We just focus on the daily tasks of managing the oushadhasala and making sure everything is done the right way. It is a slow and steady process.
