We are tucked away on Palekkara Road in Chittissery, right at Plot No. 9. If you’re around Thrissur, you’ve probably passed by this way. It’s a regular auto shop where we deal with all sorts of vehicle issues. Most mornings start with a cup of tea and looking over the cars that were dropped off the night before. It gets pretty greasy and loud once we start the engines and get the tools going, but that is part of the charm. We don’t have a fancy waiting room or anything like that, just some stools and the sound of work being done. People bring their cars here because they know we’ll give them a straight answer about what’s wrong. We’ve seen all kinds of breakdowns over the years. Some are easy fixes, others take a bit more thinking and time. We don't mind the greasy hands. It’s satisfying when a car that came in rattling leaves the shop running smooth again. The neighbors are good people, and we try not to make too much noise late at night. It’s a simple life here. The road out front gets a bit dusty in the summer, but we keep the shop open anyway. Sometimes neighbors stop by just to chat for a minute while we work on a gearbox. We've got a small radio that plays in the background, though you can barely hear it over the wrenches. We just focus on the engines.
