Agriculture Dept.

This is the office for the Agriculture Dept., where the Principal Agriculture Officer is based. We spend a lot of our time dealing with local farmers and looking over the various projects happening in the region. It’s a government office, so it looks pretty much like you’d expect—lots of stacks of paper, wooden desks, and ceiling fans that have been around for years. We don't have a fancy website or a PR team to make us look polished. We’re just here to do the work that needs doing. People come in with all sorts of questions about their crops or the latest regulations. We try to help everyone who walks through the door, though sometimes there’s a bit of a wait if we’re short-staffed that day. The building itself is old and has that specific smell of old documents and ink. It’s not a place for luxury, but it’s an important spot for the community. We stay busy with the seasonal changes and making sure the records are kept up to date. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook, and other times it’s quiet enough to hear the birds outside. We just keep plugging away at the paperwork and the meetings. It’s honest work, even if it’s not particularly exciting to outsiders. We’ve been part of the local landscape for a long time now, and we know most of the regulars by name.
