Abhang Organics

The Nh Byepass is always noisy with trucks going toward Trichur. We are located right there in Thalore, near the Ollur post office. Abhang Organics has been here for a little while. Being near the highway is handy for moving things around, even if the sound is a bit much sometimes. We have a small yard where we keep things. Most of the guys here have been with us since we started. We don't really have a boss who sits in a closed office. We all just work together in the open space. The roof leaks a tiny bit when the monsoon is very heavy, so we have to move the bags to the dry corner. We deal with organic products, which means we spend a lot of time checking the quality of what comes in. It is slow work sometimes. We don't use a lot of big machines; it’s mostly just us doing things by hand. Thalore is a nice enough place once you get off the main road. We usually eat our lunch together under the shade of the tree out back. It’s a simple routine. We get the shipments, we check them, and we send them out again. It is not a very exciting life, but it is honest. We don’t try to be something we aren't. We just run our small shop.
