Rajdhani Ice Cream

If you go down to Statue Junction in Thrippunithura, you will find Rajdhani Ice Cream. It’s a busy spot with lots of traffic and people walking by the statue all day long. We spend a lot of time just watching the cars and bikes go past while we work. The shop isn't very large. It’s basically just enough room for the freezers and a small counter. We get a lot of commuters who want something quick before they catch their bus or head home for the day. It gets really hot in Thrippunithura during the afternoons, so the ice cream helps people cool off for a few minutes. We try to keep things organized but when it’s busy, it gets a bit crowded. The floor gets sticky sometimes and we have to mop it three or four times a day. We don't have fancy seats or anything like that. People just stand around outside or eat while they walk to the next street. It’s been our routine for a long time now. We know the other shop owners around the junction. We talk to the vendors nearby when things are slow. It’s a loud place because of the horns and the people, but we are used to it. We just focus on keeping the Rajdhani sign lit up and the ice cream frozen solid. It’s a simple business. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything is ready.
