Pet Clinic

Down here in Ernakulam, we run this little Pet Clinic. It’s a straightforward kind of place. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles, just the essentials for taking care of animals. The humidity can be a bit much some days, which makes the pets a little sluggish and tired. We see a lot of different breeds around here. Some people bring in their hunting dogs and others have little house cats that never step foot outside. I spend my mornings getting everything ready before the first person shows up. Usually, there’s someone waiting by the time I open the door. Ernakulam is a great place but it keeps us on our toes with the amount of pets people have now. It feels like everyone has a dog these days. We try to keep things moving so no one has to wait too long in the heat. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re more focused on what’s happening on the exam table. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and dealing with nervous animals. You get used to the scratches and the barking after a while. It’s just how it is. We’re just local folks trying to help out the pets in our part of the world. There's no big mystery to it. We just open up, do the work, and go home when the sun goes down. Most people know us by now.
