Masthan Farms

Masthan Farms is located out in Thottur, specifically at 2-156 in the Suryapet area. It’s a quiet place, mostly fields and open sky. We’ve lived and worked on this land for as long as I can remember. It’s not like a regular office job; we are out in the dirt most of the day. We grow what the season allows and take care of the animals we have. It’s hard work, especially when the rain doesn't come when it’s supposed to. Or when it comes too much all at once. My brothers and I handle most of the chores, from fixing fences to hauling bags of feed. We don't have a fancy storefront. If people want to buy from us, they usually just come by the gate or we meet them in the village. The address is 2-156, but most people just know where the Masthan family lives. We don't spend money on marketing or anything like that. The crops speak for themselves. The tractors are old and sometimes they break down right in the middle of a job, which is frustrating. But we fix them up and keep going. It’s a simple way of living, even if it’s exhausting. We wake up before the sun and we’re usually asleep not long after it goes down. That’s just life on the farm here in Thottur. We wouldn't know what else to do with ourselves if we weren't out here in the fields.
