Sri Metals

Sri Metals is a small place located at 6/18, Mudangiaru Road. If you know South Sammanthapuram, you know it can get pretty crowded during the middle of the day. We spend most of our time inside the shop or right out front on the street. There is a lot of metal here, obviously. Sheet metal, scraps, and bits of stuff waiting to be sorted or sent out. It’s a bit of a heavy job, and your clothes usually end up with a bit of dirt on them by lunch. The road outside isn't too wide, so when a delivery truck comes, everything has to stop for a minute while we unload. We have been working out of this spot for some years. The building is simple, nothing special to look at, but it works for what we do. We have a small table where we keep the books and a few plastic chairs for when someone comes to visit. Usually, it's just the sound of metal clinking together or the fans whirring. The rain can be very loud on the roof when the monsoon hits, making it hard to hear anyone talking. We just keep our heads down and handle the metal. Sri Metals isn't some big corporate office; it’s just a place where work happens. We try to keep things organized, but in this business, things tend to get messy pretty fast. That’s just how it is on Mudangiaru Road.
