Rajaram Juice Shop

Our shop is Rajaram Juice Shop and we are located at 48 Senthalaivayal Road in Vilangulam. It is a simple place that my father started years ago and I have taken over recently. We don't have much in the way of decoration, just some glass jars and a big mirror on the wall. The main thing we do is squeeze fresh juice for whoever comes by. We are on the road that goes towards the village center, so we get a lot of farmers and travelers. The afternoon sun hits the front of the shop directly, so we have a thick green curtain to keep the heat out. We have an old refrigerator that hums quite loudly, but it keeps the soda and the fruit cool. Sometimes we have sugarcane juice if the machine is working right. It takes a lot of effort to keep the place clean because of the flies that are attracted to the sweet smells. We use a lot of water for cleaning the floor every evening. People in Vilangulam know us well and they often stop to share some news while they wait for their pomegranate juice. We don't have a printed menu or any fancy signs. We just tell people what we have for the day. It is a steady life and we are happy to be part of the community here on Senthalaivayal Road.
