Our place is at C82-83 within the Sipcot Complex. It’s a big industrial area, so there are always trucks moving around and the sound of machinery in the distance. We’ve been here as a family-run business for quite some time now. The office is right next to the warehouse area, so we hear everything that goes on. It’s not a quiet place to work, but we’re used to it. Most of our day is spent checking on stock levels and making sure the staff has what they need to get their work done. We deal with a lot of different suppliers, and sometimes the shipments don't show up when they are supposed to, which causes a bit of a headache for everyone. We have a small table in the corner where we sit for lunch and talk about things other than work for a few minutes. The walls are a bit bare and the floors are concrete, so it’s very functional and not at all fancy. We don't see much point in spending money on decorations when there are machines to maintain and bills to pay. We know the other business owners in the Sipcot area, and we help each other out when someone needs a tool or an extra hand. It’s a busy, dusty environment, but it’s where we feel at home. We just keep doing what we do, year after year, without much fuss.
