Mohamed Store

If you head down Tiruchendur Main Road in Seydunganallur, you’ll find us at number 6/227. Mohamed Store is basically a local fixture at this point. It’s a small shop, and we’ve got shelves packed with all the usual things people need. We open early because that’s when people are heading out, and we stay open until it’s dark. It gets dusty because of all the vehicles passing by on the main road, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the counters. It’s not a big corporate supermarket or anything like that. It’s just a shop where you can grab what you forgot to buy earlier. I spend a lot of time talking to the regulars who stop by for a minute. Some days are slow, especially when it’s really hot outside, and I just sit near the fan. Other times, everyone comes in at once and it’s a bit of a scramble. We try to keep the stock organized, but things get moved around. Dealing with suppliers is a big part of the day, checking crates and making sure we didn't get shorted on the milk or the biscuits. It’s just a regular life running a store here. People know me, I know them. We don't have a website or anything fancy. Just the door and the sign and the stuff on the shelves. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy enough. No big deals or complicated plans.
