Sharon Glass& Plywood

Operating out of the Jmec Complex on Chidambara Nagar Main Road in Tuticorin keeps us on our toes. This building always has something going on. We spend most of our time surrounded by stacks of plywood and big sheets of glass. If you come by, you will notice the smell of sawdust and glue right away. It is a noisy place because there is always a saw running or someone unloading a truck at the curb. The guys who work here have been handling glass for a long time. They have to be careful because one slip means a lot of wasted material and a mess to clean up. We do not do much in the way of advertising. Most people find us because they are driving down the main road or someone told them we were here. Tuticorin can get really hot in the afternoons, so we usually have a fan blowing the dust around while we work. It is not a corporate office with air conditioning and quiet hallways. It is a working shop where hands get dirty and clothes get stained. We just try to get the orders right so the carpenters can get back to their projects. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the port traffic, but we just deal with it as it comes. It is hard work but it keeps us busy.
