Global Public School

Global Public School is located at number 13 on the main Tenkasi To Madurai Road, right in the Idaikal area. Being on such a busy road means there is always a lot of noise from the trucks and buses zooming past. We have a big gate to keep the noise out, but you can still hear the horns honking throughout the day. The building is a plain structure, nothing too special to look at, but it does the job for the students who come here from the local villages. We spend a lot of our time making sure the kids stay away from the road and that the buses arrive on time to take them home. Inside, the hallways are usually full of posters that the students made, and some of them are starting to curl at the edges. The staff room is small and usually smells like coffee and old paper. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that; we just focus on the daily schedule and making sure the lunch break happens on time. Sometimes the internet is slow because we are a bit far out, but we manage. Most people in Idaikal know us just as the school on the highway. It’s a practical place where we work hard and deal with the heat as best as we can. There is always something that needs fixing, like a squeaky door or a loose tile, but we get to it eventually.
