Esther Metal

Esther Metal is located over at 16 Sattankulam. If you have been around this part of town, you probably know the area already. We deal with metal every day, mostly scrap and various parts that come through the yard for sorting. It is noisy work, with lots of clanging and the sound of things being moved around by the staff. The yard at 16 Sattankulam gets pretty full sometimes, so we have to spend a lot of time just organizing the stacks so we can actually move the trucks. My boots are usually covered in dust by the end of the shift. We are not trying to be anything special, just a place where you can get metal sorted or bought. Sometimes the weather makes it tough to work outside, but the work does not really stop for a bit of rain. We have a small office where the paperwork happens, but mostly we are out back. Metal prices change, things get heavy, and we just keep at it. It is a family-run kind of vibe here, nothing too corporate or formal. We know most of the regulars who come by with their trucks. You learn a lot about different types of steel and iron just by handling them for years. It is not the cleanest job in the world, and our hands are usually stained by noon. But we have been at 16 Sattankulam for a while now, and it is where we do our thing.
