Guru Exports

We spend a lot of our time between Cochin and the hills of Idukki. It is a long drive and the roads are not always the best, but that is how it goes when you move things from one place to another. Our office in Cochin is usually a bit cluttered with papers and samples that need to be sent out. We have a few desks and some chairs that have seen better days. Most of the guys here are from around the area, so we know the shortcuts through the city traffic. Some days are slow and we just sit around drinking tea and talking about the weather or the local news. Other days, everyone is running around trying to get containers loaded before the cutoff time. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially when the humidity picks up near the coast. We do not have fancy decorations or anything like that on the walls. It is just a place where work happens. People come by to drop off items or ask about shipping dates. We try to keep track of everything in big ledgers and some on the computer when it is working right. Idukki is cooler, of course, and we spend time up there too, checking on what needs to be brought down. It is a simple setup we have here. We have been doing this for a while now and we just take it one day at a time.
