Vani Soap Works Pvt. Ltd. is tucked away at D.No.25 on East Street in Padutharkollai. We are over in the T.R Pattinam area, specifically near the Thittacherry Post in the Karaikal region of Puducherry. Our little factory has been here for a long time, and you can usually smell the soap from down the road. It isn't a high-tech facility with lots of fancy buttons. It’s mostly just us, some big mixing vats, and a lot of drying racks. Making soap is a long process and it can be quite messy with all the oils and ingredients we use. We spend our days making sure the mixtures are right and the bars are cut properly. It’s a steady kind of work that doesn't change much from year to year. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy office. Most of the time, we are just on the floor in our work clothes, making sure the production stays on schedule. The weather in Puducherry can be a bit humid, which affects how long the soap takes to dry, so we have to keep an eye on that. We send our stuff out through the local post office at Thittacherry. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We know the neighbors on East Street and we like being part of this community. We just keep making our soap and doing our jobs as best as we can every day.
