Sri Maha Ganapathy Precision Engineering

Our shop, Sri Maha Ganapathy Precision Engineering, is located out in Ammanoor near the post office in the Thiruvaroor district. It is a quiet area most of the time compared to the big cities but we stay busy with the local work that comes our way. We have a few machines that we’ve gathered over the years to do precision cutting and metal work. It’s mostly just us working in the heat and making sure the parts are the right size for whatever the customer needs. The floors are usually covered in metal shavings and oil but that’s just how an engineering shop should look. We started this place because there wasn't much else around here and we had the skills to fix things and make parts. You can hear the sound of the lathes from down the road when we are really getting into a project. Sometimes we have to wait a few days for materials to arrive from the city since we are a bit far out. It’s a simple life and we know most of the people who walk through our door by their first names. We don’t spend money on advertising or anything like that because we prefer to just let the work speak for itself. If a part isn't right we just fix it until it is. That’s how we’ve always done things here in Ammanoor and we don't plan on changing much.
