Smart Empire Nidhi Limited

We are set up at No.66B on the New Bye-Pass Road in Mannargudi. It's a decent location because people passing through the Thiruvarur area can find us easily. Smart Empire Nidhi Limited is what it says on the door. We aren't an empire really, just a local office with a few staff members. The road outside can get noisy with the trucks and buses. Inside, we have our desks and some files. We handle the local savings and loans. Most of our members are farmers or small traders from around here. We know their names and their stories. It’s a very local thing. We aren't like those big banks in the city where you are just a number. Here, we sit down and talk. Sometimes the power goes out and we just wait it out. That's life in Mannargudi. We use standard ledgers and a computer for the main stuff. It’s practical. We don't spend money on fancy decorations. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it doesn't affect the work we do. We open up early and close once the last person is helped. It's a steady life. The Bye-Pass road has changed a lot over the years but we've stayed right here. We just focus on keeping the records straight for everyone who trusts us with their money. It's a big responsibility but we take it one day at a time.
