You can find Sakthi Marketing at No:27 on Dharma Kovil Street. This area is mostly houses and small apartments, so it stays relatively quiet compared to the main roads. We are a small distribution business. We mostly deal with stationery, notebooks, and some basic plastic items for the home. We’ve turned the front part of our house into the office and storage area. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze with all the boxes stacked up in the hallway. My wife takes care of the paperwork and the billing while I spend my time out on the road. I visit different shops to see what they need. We have an old white van for the deliveries. It’s got a few dents and it makes a loud rattling sound when I drive it over the bumps. The street is quite narrow, so loading the van can be a bit tricky if there are other cars parked nearby. We have to be quick so we don't bother the neighbors too much. We’ve lived and worked here for a long time now. We aren't looking to become a giant company. We just want to keep the business steady so we can pay the bills. Every evening, we close the office and sit out on the front steps to relax. Trichy is very hot, so we try to get most of our heavy lifting done early in the day. It’s a simple life.
