Palsons Radios

Palsons Radios has been set up at 43, Vrm Road, right near the Old Railway Station Road, for quite some time. It’s a part of town that has a lot of history, and you can feel it when you walk down the street and see the old buildings. We started out working on old radios and electronics because that’s what we knew how to do back in the day. Nowadays, things have changed a bit with all the new technology, but we still keep that same focus on fixing and selling audio equipment. The shop is a bit cluttered with spare parts, wires, and old units that we use for bits, but we know where everything is. It’s not a shiny showroom with bright lights and fancy displays; it’s more of a workshop where real work happens and things get fixed. We get a lot of older folks coming in with sets they’ve had for decades, and we do our best to get them working again so they can listen to their programs. The sound of the station nearby and the general bustle of Vrm Road is just something we've grown used to over the years. We don't have a website with fancy graphics or anyone handling our social media. People usually find us by word of mouth or by just walking past and seeing the old sign. We like the pace of life here. It’s about being practical and helping people keep their electronics going. There’s no big corporate strategy behind it—we just enjoy the work and being here.
