Our place is at S. F. No. 652/2 F3, right across from the Kongu Sports Club in the Kulathupalayam area of Veerapandi, Tirupur. Being in Tirupur, we are right in the middle of all the garment activity. You can see the sports club from our front windows, and sometimes we see people going for their games while we are busy with our sewing and cutting. It’s a straightforward setup here. We have our tables for cutting fabric and the machines lined up for the stitching. We aren't a massive factory, just a decent-sized workshop where we put together different fashion items. The air smells like fresh cotton and sometimes the oil from the machines. We have a lot of scrap fabric that we try to keep in bins, but it always seems to find its way onto the floor. It’s a noisy place when all the machines are running at once, so we have to shout a bit to be heard. We don't have a fancy reception area or anyone to answer the phones in a professional way. If you call, you’ll probably just talk to whoever is closest to the desk. We focus on the work in front of us and try to get the orders done by the time the truck arrives. It’s honest work, and we’ve been doing it this way for years now without any complaints. We just keep our heads down and work.
