Our little setup is at 12 Kamachi Amman Kovil Street. It’s a fairly narrow street, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. We make nonwoven bags here, mostly the kind people use for shopping or carrying flowers. The machines make a rhythmic sound that you can hear from the doorway. We have rolls of material in different colors stacked up against the walls. It isn't a massive factory, just a local spot where we get things done. We spend a lot of our time cutting the fabric and stitching things together. There are usually a few of us working at the same time, trying to finish up the orders for the week. The street outside has a temple nearby, so it gets quite busy during festivals or on certain mornings. We see a lot of people walking by while we work. We don't have a sales team or a fancy office. If someone wants bags, they usually just walk in and ask us what we have available. We try to keep a decent stock of the regular sizes. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We focus on making the bags strong enough to hold whatever people put in them. Most of the folks around here know us by name now. We just keep our heads down and keep the machines running.
