Instead, we are in a more modest structure that blends in with the houses around it. The lane is narrow, so parking can be a bit of a puzzle if more than two cars show up at once. Inside, the office is pretty straightforward. We have a few rooms with desks pushed against the walls. There’s no big lobby with a fancy logo or a person waiting to greet you. Usually, you’ll just find one of us typing away or on the phone. We try to keep things organized, but there’s always a stack of papers somewhere that needs sorting. The trees outside provide some shade, which helps keep the rooms from getting too hot during the summer months. Sometimes we hear the neighbor’s dog barking or the sound of someone sweeping their yard nearby. It’s a very grounded place to work. We’ve been here for some time and we like the fact that it doesn't feel like a typical corporate setting.
