Focus Garments

Focus Garments is tucked away at No. 76 M P Appan Nagar in Vazhuthacaud. Trivandrum is a busy city, and our little corner is no different. We deal with clothes, mostly bulk stuff or daily wear that people need for their families. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but inside we’ve got piles of shirts and trousers everywhere. It’s a lot of work keeping track of all the different sizes. Sometimes the labels get mixed up and we have to spend an hour sorting them out again. My staff has been with me for a few years, so we have a good rhythm. We start early, usually before the traffic gets bad on the main road. The light in the shop is a bit dim in the back, but we know where everything is kept. We don't have those fancy mannequins you see in the big malls. We just put the stock out and let people look through it at their own pace. Vazhuthacaud has a lot of offices nearby, so we get people stopping by after work. We try to keep the prices fair. Dealing with suppliers is the hardest part, sometimes they’re late and we have to explain the delay to the customers. But we manage. It’s a steady life. We don’t really change much, just keep selling garments and making sure the shop stays open. It’s what we know how to do. The neighborhood knows us well.
