Trivandrum Culture Foundation

The Trivandrum Culture Foundation is based over at the Ushasandya Building. We are in that Dotspace Business Center area, which is pretty easy to find if you know the city. There is always a lot of noise and movement in Trivandrum, so we wanted a spot where we could focus on the old ways of doing things. We aren't a big corporation. It is mostly just a few of us who care about the local arts and how things used to be. We spend our time organizing small meetups or just documenting things that might get forgotten. Sometimes it feels like the city is changing too fast, and we just want to hold onto some of that history. The office is small but it works for what we need. People come in to chat about old stories or music. We don’t have a big fancy plan, we just take it week by week. It is nice being in a building with other businesses because you get to meet all sorts of people. We keep our door open for anyone who has an interest in the local culture here. It isn't a high-pressure environment at all. We just do our bit and hope it helps keep the spirit of the place alive for the next generation. Most of our days are spent on the phone or looking through old records we’ve collected over the months. It’s a bit dusty sometimes but it is honest work.
