Thejjus Lacto Private Limited is located in Kallara, which is a part of Thiruvananthapuram. Our facility is in the Jyothis building in Nellidappara, over in the Kattumpuram area. Our workdays start very early, usually well before the sun comes up. That is the time when the milk arrives and everything starts moving for the day. The air is usually nice and cool at that hour, which is better for the work we do. We have several cooling tanks and processing equipment that we have to look after carefully. It is a quiet part of the district, mostly very green and filled with trees and small farms. You won't find any big signs or bright neon lights around here. We just have a simple setup for handling the lacto products. Sometimes you can see the local cows grazing right in the fields nearby. The staff here mostly grew up in these local villages, so everyone knows each other’s names. We spend the bulk of the day checking the temperatures and making sure all the containers are properly cleaned. It is a lot of cleaning, to be honest. Water is always running somewhere in the building. We keep our business records in big ledgers and try to stay as organized as possible. When the afternoon heat finally comes, things start to slow down. We finish our tasks and get things ready for the next morning. It is a steady life.
