About Surveyor – Metals & Minerals in Thiruvananthapuram
We work out of Koonari House in the Channayil area of Cherur. It’s a green part of Malappuram district here in Kerala. Being a surveyor in this region means dealing with a lot of slopes and heavy rain during the monsoon months. Our office isn't much to look at, just a room in the house where we keep the tools and the ledgers. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy emails. Usually, people just know us by word of mouth in the Cherur P.O. area. When you need a boundary checked or a plot measured, you come to Koonari House and we talk it over. The work involves a lot of walking through brush and setting up markers. It’s physical and sometimes the mosquitoes are a real problem, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We keep the equipment clean even if our boots are always muddy. Dealing with land in Kerala can be tricky because of the vegetation, but we know the local land records well. We aren’t trying to be the biggest firm in the state. We just want to do right by the people who live nearby. If you walk past the house, you might see us packing the gear into the back of the vehicle for another day in the field. It’s a steady life, focused on precision and staying local to our roots here in Malappuram. We just take things one day at a time.
